So this one had always bothered me. I was never happy with how it turned out so I recolored and fix some things. I think it looks better now but.... still not 100% satisfied. :Y
Both seem fine to me, it all depends of what kind of a mood you want to achieve in the end. Darker tones fit the new version very well, and I like the improved detail and lighting.
